The Remote Gambling Association became operational on 1st August 2005 as a result of a merger between the Association of Remote Gambling Operators (ARGO) and the Interactive Gaming, Gambling and Betting Association (IGGBA).

8th August 2008- The Remote Gambling Association today endorsed the UIGEA Clarification Act (HR 6663) and expressed strong support for its sponsors for taking positive action to clarify the law.

Launch of the RGA Social Responsibility Code of Conduct
14th November 2007 - Today saw the launch of the new RGA Social Responsibility Code of Conduct at the Second RGA AGM held at London's Savoy Place.

7th August 2007 - A new gambling industry code for socially responsible advertising has been published today. The code, which supplements the principal advertising rules which are produced and administered by the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) and the Broadcast Committee of Advertising Practice (BCAP), was developed jointly by the major gambling trade associations.
